Tatyana Walters - Orchestra Director from Grand Haven Public Schools said,
"I recently had the pleasure of working with the Langford Lads for a concert with my students, and it was truly an inspiring experience! From the start, both my students and the audience were captivated by the Lads' extraordinary talents and remarkable musicianship. Their engaging performance encouraged audience participation through singing and clapping, making for a fun and uplifting evening for everyone involved.
The Lads provided beautifully crafted Celtic arrangements perfect for my younger and intermediate orchestral groups months before the scheduled concert. They came to our school and rehearsed with the students during school hours, accommodating our schedule. The students were absolutely thrilled to meet the Lads and eager to learn from them during their workshops.
Throughout the rehearsals, we not only practiced the arrangements but also learned about the rich world of Irish instruments. The Lads took the time to teach the students about playing with Irish ornamentation. One group even learned the lyrics and sang along during the concert, further enhancing the interactive atmosphere!
Overall, the workshops and concert left my students feeling inspired to explore a variety of music styles on their instruments. The entire experience was positive, engaging, and motivational, and I cannot recommend the Langford Lads highly enough for anyone looking to enrich their orchestra program!" Tatyana Walters
